Disciplinary action against members of the National Peasant Party, the government party, who are guilty of anti-Semitic acts in connection with their public offices, was decided upon at a session of the Council of the party.
The session was called at the insistence of Jewish party members. It was reported that many of the party members now occupying public offices are active in the anti-Semitic movement.
The “Ostjuedische Zeitung” of Czernowitz, commenting on the decision of the party, ironically asks whether those party members who do not hold public office are permitted to participate in the anti-Semitic movement.
