Moritz Scharf, one of the anti-Jewish witnesses in the famous Tisza Eszlar ritual murder trial in 1883 died in Amsterdam yesterday, it is reported in despatches to the Hungarian press.

Moritz Scharf, then a boy of 12, testified against his own father who, together with fourteen other Jews were on trial on a ritual murder accusation. When the defendants were acquitted, he withdrew his testimony. Scharf died a pauper, the despatches relate.
