Emanuel Shinwell, Minister of Mines in the first Labor cabinet, is being mentioned for the same post in the new MacDonald cabinet.

Michael Marcus, Edinburgh attorney who defended Oscar Slater, was elected to parliament on the Labor ticket.

Lord Reading. Sir Herbert Samuel and Major Nathan constitute an important part of the Liberal “shadow cabinet” which Lloyd George assembled in order to discuss the policy of the Liberals who hold the balance between the Conservatives and the Laborites.
