An allotment of 25,000,000 Lei to be used as subventions for the maintenance of minorities schools in Greater Roumania was made by the government, according to a report in the Roumanian press. The subventions are to be distributed according to a population key.

In parliament several days ago, the Jewish Socialist deputy, Pistiner, introduced an interpellation to the government concerning the statement made in Czernowitz recently by Baron Miro, general police inspector, who told the Bukowina police authorities to dismiss from service, “Jews, Germans and other officials belonging to the minorities.” Deputy Pistiner asked the government whether the secret order to the same effect issued by the former Minister of the Interior, Octavian Goga, is still in force. The Understate Secretary, Joan Itzescu, replied that he knows nothing about the Goga order and that the government will institute an investigation concerning the Bukowina affair.
