Orders of distinction were conferred on a number of Palestinians. Jews, Moslems and Christians, by an order of the President of Czechoslovakia, Professor Masaryk.

The Order of the White Lion, first class, was conferred on the Latin patriarch, Monsignor Barlassina. The Order of the White Lion, third class, was also conferred on the Grand Mufti, the Mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Nashishibi and on Father Marotta, Custodian of the Holy Land.

The Order of the White Lion, fourth class, was conferred on the directors of Police and Railways, on Mr. KeithRoach, on Dr. David Yellin, on Mr. Bloch, former Mayor of Tel Aviv, and on the Mayor of Jaffa.
