During the last few days the British press is attempting to whitewash the British officials in Palestine.

The London “Daily Telegraph” correspondent states in a despatch that “Considering that there were only 140 British police in the country when the outbreak started, the casualty list is small.” The correspondent further states: “The Arabs have many legitimate grievances which were responsible for the outbreak. The rapid increase in the Jewish population is the direct cause of the trouble. Among the Jewish population in Palestine there are 40,000 Poles and not all of them are desirable settlers,” the correspondent asserts.
