Gedaliah Bublick, president of the American Mizrachi, who arrived here from Palestine where he was an eye-witness of the outbreaks, stated to the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency: “The Palestine administration has shown itself very weak and incapable of dealing promptly with the situation. It had few soldiers at its disposal and the Arab police which proved unreliable. Were it not for the self-defense, the Jews in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv would have been exterminated,” Mr. Bublick declared.
“In Tel Aviv, young Jews armed with sticks, kept away a considerable Arab mob for hours until the troops arrived.
“I am pessimistic of the present political situation. Unless England will change her policy, the Yishub will have little possibility for development.” Mr. Bublick proceeded to London to attend the meeting of the Zionist General Council. He will sail next Friday on the “Carmania” for America.
