The sum of $400,000 was pledged to the Jewish National Fund for the purchase of land in Palestine by the English Zionist Federation.
Leopold Schen, chairman of the Jewish National Fund, announced the pledge following a stirring address made by M. M. Ussishkin head of the Jewish National Fund, at a special meeting of the Jewish National Fund executive here.
