Postponement of its fifteenth annual convention until some time in November was announced by the Hadassah, women’s Zionist organization, because of the unsettled situation in Palestine and concentration in America on relief activities. The convention was to have been held in Atlantic City, September 22 to 25.

A letter notifying the presidents of the 287 Hadassah Chapters of the National Board’s decision for postponement, said:

“We feel that all of us must now give undivided effort towards caring for the emergency needs of Palestine. We are afraid that if we take away the most active workers from the Chapters for a Convention at a time when these drives are going on, it would hurt the work.”
