Simplicity will mark the last rites for Louis Marshall, in accordance with his last wish, it was learned here.

The transference of the body from the hospital to the Friesenberg Jewish cemetery was attended by representatives of the Zionist Federation of Zurich and of the Kehillah. A guard of honor, consisting of local Jews who volunteered to watch over the body, was on duty continuously.

No definite arrangements for the transportation of the body have been made as yet, but it is understood a steamer sailing September 18 has been selected. The body will be accompanied by James Marshall, son, and the other members of the family who were at his bedside.

The Swiss press devoted much attention to Mr. Marshall’s death.

Among the messages of condolence received by James Marshall was one from President Herbert Hoover. The message read: “Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your father, who was distinguished in his every public relation as a citizen and beloved in his every human contact as a friend.”
