The one month time limit for the presentation of claims for losses suffered during the Arab outbreak is considered too short by the Jewish legal commission here and it is understood that the commission has made representations to the Attorney General for an extension of time.
It is physically impossible to lodge all claims for compensation within this period in many cases, such as those of the seriously wounded of Hebron, it is pointed out. It is understood that the government is reluctant to extend the time, in order that the proceedings shall not be drawn out, but it is intimated that claims in special cases will be accepted later.
