Considerable uneasiness is felt in Jerusalem, especially in the Old City, tonight, the first night that the curfew has been partially lifted, being extended from 6 P. M. to 9 P. M. The uneasiness is felt owing to a report that Moslems warned Christians to chalk crosses on their houses to distinguish them from Jewish houses. The police authorities have minimized these rumors.

It is understood that the Jewish Agency is making strong representations against the reduction of troops in the country before the investigation is conducted by the Commission of Inquiry and the Jewish High Holidays have passed.
