Palestine Expects Net Million from U.S.

The Palestine Emergency Fund with headquarters in New York expects to obtain $1,000,000 net for transmission for relief here. Advices to this effect were received here today.

The Vaad Leumi, cooperating with the Jewish Agency relief work, has decided not to permit any special appeals, directing all interested in reconstruction work and institutions to apply to the relief committee, with the confidence that immediate relief will be given and a systematic examination of genuine cases forthcoming within the resources available.

The Hebron Yeshiva, where more than forty students were slain, including eight Americans, is being re-established provisionally in Jerusalem under arrangements made by Rabbi Meyer Berlin in behalf of the relief committee under the Jewish Agency.
