Fire in Tel Aviv Factory Causes £15,000 Damage

What was said to be the largest fire to have visited the all-Jewish city of Tel Aviv, swept the weaving department of the Lodzia factory last night, causing damage estimated at £15,000. A spark from an electric motor was described as the cause.

Fire fighters were forced to give up the attempt to extinguish the flames. They succeeded ni saving the stocking factory and stockrooms near the burning building. The flames were visible from all parts of the city.
