A suggestion has been put forward that Jews remain away from the Wailing Wall pending the result of the special Commission which is to inquire into what constitutes the status quo of the Wall.

The “Ha’ Aretz,” Hebrew daily, recommends serious attention to this suggestion, declaring “We do not believe there is one judge in the world who would deny the Jews’ right to undisturbed worship at the Wailing Wall. Pending such a decision, would it not be better to thus disarm inciters, ending the false reports of alleged infringement of the status quo and interference at a Moslem holy place?”
