The first suggestion that the High Commissioner, Sir John Chancellor, is considering the stoppage of immigration, which is demanded by the Arabs, was published in the Arab paper, “Meraat El Sharek.” The paper asserts that the High Commissioner informed the Arab Executive that the question was submitted to the Colonial Office. No reply has as yet been received.
