Endorsement of Justice Albert Cohn, Judge Gustave Hartman and Irwin Untermyer, candidates for the Supreme Court bench in the forthcoming elections, were announced by the New York Bar Association. The Association gave its endorsement to only ten of the candidates.

The report of the Association declared that Justice Cohn was entitled, by excellent service on the bench, to re-election, and declared that City Court Justice Hartman, by reason of an excellent record and general qualifications was “entitled to promotion.” Of Irwin Untermyer the committee said that his “professional ability, especially as shown in his two arguments before the United States Supreme Court in the Interborough Rapid Transit case, has been commended highly by distinguished judges, who believe that he will make a satisfactory judge.”
