Members of the Nationalist Party and the National Socialist Party, who are opposing the Young Plan for the payment of reparations and seeking to secure a referendum of the German people on it, are employing anti-Semitic agitation and endeavoring to play upon anti-Semitic prejudice to secure supporters for their movement. Pamphlets have been circulated in which the late Walter Rathenau is said to be the originator of the Young Plan for the purpose of “destroying the German people.” The International Reparations Bank, they assert, will be “the headquarters for a Jewish secret government.”
