Lazarus Named Records Chief in Surrogate’s Office

David Lazarus, a prominent Tammany leader, and for twelve years a deputy commissioner, has been appointed Commissioner of Records in the Surrogate’s office. Mr. Lazarus succeeds John F. Curry leader of Tammany Hall, who resigned last week Political leaders are recalling that during the recent fight for the Tammany leadership. Mr. Lazarus, as one of the district leaders, was not friendly to the present Tammany boss, whom he now succeeds.
