New grave anti-Semitic riots occurred in Bucharest last night. Anti-Semitic students demonstrated in the streets, attacked Jewish passers-by, injurying many, according to reports received here today from Bucharest. The reports state that hooligans invaded Bucharest studio theatres, threw “stink-bombs,” and interrupted the performances. Jewish stores on Cale-Victoria Street, the Bucharest Broadway, were looted.

The main Bucharest military garrison was called out to help the police suppress the riots. Police and military detachments are guarding the Bucharest streets, following the attempt of anti-Semitic students to demonstrate before the king’s palace.
