The University of Jassy expelled the students Petrascu and Olteanu for being the organizers of the disturbances which occurred following a lecture by Prof. Schmuleanu when many Jewish students were seriously injured. Recognition of the Union of Christian Students was also withdrawn because of this organization’s participation in the anti-Semitic onslaught. Because the Senate refused to consider the memorandum of the students which included a demand for a numerous clauses, the students are continuing their strike.
