All members of the Palestine Zionist Executive yesterday addressed a large press gathering. Harry Sacher discussed political conditions, Col. Frederick Kisch spoke of security. Sacher declared that he believed the tension to have been relieved and that while the danger of attacks had passed, desultory assaults were inevitable. He pointed out that the boycott agitation had diminished and that the government and the merchants felt that the movement was declining.
Dr. Arthur Ruppin discussed colonization reconstruction and land problems, and said “we have been engaged in land purchase for twenty-three years, and we have a clear conscience on the tenant question, 95 percent, of whom have been given other lands.”
Sacher is leaving for London on January 1 to consult Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, on rumored constitutional changes. Before his departure, the Palestine Zionist Executive is to call a special meeting of the Vaad Leumi and the resident members of the Agency Commission.
