A fine of 5,000 ley has been levied on the Jewish passengers who pulled the emergency cord of a train going to Czernowitz, when two anti-Semitic students attacked them. Among the passengers injured were Marcu Weismann from Novo Suliz, a student at Bucharest University, his friend, Israel Suprin, and the merchants Rubinstein and Woly, the latter being 70 years old. By the time the train stopped, the attackers had disappeared.
