Bishop Hajar, the Catholic-Arab church dignitary from Haifa, interviewed High Commissioner Chancellor yesterday and protested against the Balfour Declaration as introducing privileges for the Jews. Bishop Hajar declared that the Arabs are the owners of Palestine and that the Jews coming into the country are not Semites but descendants of Russians who embraced Judaism in the seventh century. He also said that the Arabs are Palestinians who were in the country before the Jews.
