In honor of her election for the thirty-second term as president of the Ladies’ Montefiore Aid Society, Mrs. Goldie Shucklin was given a public reception, sponsored by the Society, yesterday. Reformed and Orthodox, Jew and non-Jew, came to pay their respects to the Grand Old Lady of Northwest Jewry, who though in her eighty-eighth year, is still active in her missions of good.
In her residence of almost forty years in this city, she has taken a leading part in the building of the orthodox synagogue, the Talmud Torah, the Jewish Funeral Chapel and the organization of several charitable groups.
