In recognition of his services for organized charity in this city, the Community Chest here yesterday, through its board of directors, elected Rabbi Emil W. Leipziger, of the Touro Synagogue, to honorary life membership.
When the first Community Chest campaign was introduced in 1925, Rabbi Leipziger was awarded a trophy for outstanding service in the campaign.
