A charge that the Hungarian government is spreading anti-Semitism through the Jewish newspapermen was made by Archbishop Szmercsanzi speaking at a bishops’ conference today. He showed that the anti-Semitic government papers, “Nemzeti Ujsag” (“National News”) and the “Uj Nemzedek” (“New Generation”) are edited chiefly by converted and non-converted Jews and that most of the members of the staffs of these papers contain more Jews than non-Jews.
