Hebrew University Library Issues Works in Sciences on Its 10th Anniversary

A scientific expedition under the auspices of the Hebrew University will collect specimens of fauna and flora of the Syrian hinterland, according to a letter received by Felix M. Warburg, chairman of the American Advisory Committee. The expedition, under the leadership of Prof. I. Aharoni of the Institute of Palestine Natural History, left Jerusalem for Aleppo, February 1.

A selected list of popular works in sciences has been issued by the university library in connection with the tenth anniversary of its establishment as the Jewish National and University Library. As part of the jubilee of the poet Tchernichovsky the library also has had on exhibit the manuscripts and books of the poems, stories and critical works of the poet.

From the Friends of the Library in Roumania has already come the first shipment, which includes old and valuable Hebrew manuscripts and books, letters of prominent Jews and many documents pertaining to the history of the Russian Jews during the last century.
