A special commission that will see to it that artisans are provided with raw material, that they are not expelled from the cooperatives, and that their property is not confiscated because of non-payment of taxes was organized here today by the Soviet government in order to put an end to the illegal acts against the artisans. The Commission will also provide credits for the artisans to assist them in disposing of their products.

The Commission includes representatives of the trade, finances and labor commissariats as well as from the government bank and Central Association of Cooperatives. It is pointed out that the production of the artisans is still valuable for the Soviet’s industrial development and consequently more attention should be paid to its normal functioning.
