Lithuanian Decree Threatens Jewish Schools’ Existence

The existence of the Jewish schools in Lithuania is endangered by the government’s intention to “Litvinize” all private schools by ruling that instruction should be given in Lithuanian. A delegation of Jews has visited President Smetana to object to this but despite his promises the Litvinization continues.
