Warburg Says England Will Keep Pledge of Mandate Regarding Palestine

Referring to the situation of the Jews in Soviet Russia, Mr. Warburg declared that “the great Jewish ‘back to the farm’ movement there now proceeds again in full speed after the extreme measures of collectivization, partly threatened and partly executed have now been discontinued by the Soviet authorities.

“Our consultation while in London with the Jewish leaders from different parts of Europe, persuades us that while we have guided many thousands of our brothers over the most dangerous parts of the road to reconstruction, they have not reached safety yet. Therefore, we must go on and take it as our duty to give them a helping hand for a few more years. That holds good for Eastern Europe and also for Palestine,” Mr. Warburg concluded.
