Admiration for the Jewish work in Palestine and particularly for the new type of Jew being developed here was expressed today by Major-General Edgar Jadwin, prominent American engineer, at a reception given him by the Jewish Agency. Major-General Jadwin stopped off in Palestine on his way to the United States from Tokio, where he attended an international conference of engineers.
Major-General Jadwin, who in 1929, was a member of the American Morgenthau Commission to investigate the treatment of the Jews in Poland, was prominently connected with relief plans for the stricken Mississippi Valley during the disastrous floods of 1927.
