How the Jews of Palestine carry on the work of building the Jewish National Home is graphically told in a series of motion pictures now being exhibited in New York and booked for exhibition in various cities throughout the country.
The motion pictures were taken in Jerusalem and in other parts of Palestine following the Arab riots of last August. The entire history of the Jewish Movement to and in Palestine, the construction work which is revitalizing the Holy Land, the creation of farm settlements in long neglected valleys, the growth of modern cities, the work of irrigation and plantation, of sanitation and education in Judea, Samaria, and Galilee is graphically shown in the pictures, which comprise three reels and have a length of 4000 feet.
The famous and historic sites of Palestine, sacred to Judaism, Christianity and Islam figure prominently in the fascinating films, which tell a continuous and engaging story of international significance.
The films were made partly by Palestinian and partly by American photographers, under the general direction of the Jewish National Fund Headquarters of Jerusalem. The films will be shown in the following cities on the following dates: Detroit, Mich, on May 17, Jersey City. N. J. on May 15, Buffalo. N. Y. on May 18, Boro Park, N. Y. on May 18, Cincinnati, Ohio on May 28, and Spokane, Wash. on June 3.
