A chair of “racial science” has been established at the University of Jena by the Thuringian state ministry on orders from Dr. A. Frick, Thuringian minister of education. The noted anti-Semite and racial fanatic, R. Guenther, has been appointed professor of racial science despite the fact that other professors at the University of Jena consider him an unlearned person.

In the meantime the German press is complaining that the actions of Dr. Frick, who recently introduced anti-Semitic prayers in the schools of Thuringia, are disgracing Germany.

Ludwig Hollander, executive director of the Central Association of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith, has published an open letter in which he challenges Dr. Frick to “prove that the Jews are demoralizing Germany or else be considered a slanderer.” In connection with the anti-Semitic school prayers, Dr. Frick had said that they would “reduce the Jews morally and humanely.”
