Jew Gives $300,000 Planetarium to Franklin Institute Museum

A planetarium to be erected on the Parkway at Logan Center at a cost of upwards of $300,000 has been presented to the Franklin Institute Museum by Samuel S. Fels, millionaire philanthropist, it became known today. Mr. Fels’ contribution is one of a number to the Benjamin Franklin Memorial and the Franklin Institute Museum to be erected at a cost of $5,000,000.

This planetarium is to be a miniature cosmos. Observers will be able to sit beneath an artificial sky and not only will the heavens be revealed but also the spectacular marvels of the firmament and the obstruse facts of astronomy.
