Jews of Columbus Are Three Per Cent of Total Population

Jews in Columbus constitute three percent of the general population of this city. According to the official figures on religious membership in the United States in 1926, there are now 8,500 Jews in Columbus.

There are five synagogues now in Columbus and two Sunday schools, with 21 teachers and 400 pupils.

In the whole state of Ohio Jews constitute two and a half percent of the general population, as compared with 3 percent in Columbus. In Akron, too, the Jewish population constitutes 3 percent of the general population of that city. In the entire state of Ohio there are now 165,000 Jews.
