Far Rockaway Raises $18,000 for Allied Jewish Campaign

The New York Allied Jewish Campaign, which is raising $2,500,000 toward the $6,000,000 being sought nationally for Jewish relief in Eastern Europe and Palestine, announced yesterday that $18,000 had been raised at a dinner at the Jewish Centre, Far Rackaway. Dr. Norman Salit presided and the speakers were Mrs. Irma Lindheim, former president of Hadassah; Justice Mitchell May and Rabbis Abraham Dubin and Irving Miller.
