Rabbi Heads Baltimore Employment Commission

Rabbi Edward L. Israel, of the Har Sinai Temple, today was chosen temporary chairman of the Employment Stabilization Commission recently appointed by Mayor William F. Broening. The rabbi was a member of the Mayor’s Unemployment commission, appointed two years ago, which recommended the new commission.

Other members, designated by the Mayor at the time he announced the commission, include Siegmund B. Sonneborn and Simon E. Sobeloff. Mr. Sobeloff, who is Deputy City Solicitor, was elected temporary secretary of the commission.
