Satisfaction with the improved situation of the Jews in Hungary and congratulations to Count Bethlen for having taken the initiative in bringing about the present state of affairs by amending the numerus clausus law were expressed by Lucien Wolf, prominent Anglo-Jewish leader and secretary of the Joint Foreign Committee of the Board of Jewish Deputies and the Anglo-Jewish Association, at a meeting today with Count Bethlen, the Hungarian premier who is now visiting in London.
Count Bethlen told Mr. Wolf that the law had to be amended and that he was glad it was done, adding that the unwholesome post-war mentality was passing and the situation regarding the Jews as well as the general situation was becoming more normal.
