A Catholic priest, Father Popea, and a rabbi in the East-Slovakian town of Homeanu, today issued a joint appeal prohibiting the population of the town, which is chiefly Catholic and Jewish, from family bathing. The use of the mixed free baths by the younger people has been particularly condemned as anti-religious and corrupting to morals.
The papers of Bratislava commenting on the appeal describe it as a phenomenon for a joint appeal to be issued by representatives of Catholicism and Judaism.
