The strong appeal that the program of the National Council of Jewish Juniors holds for the Jewish youth of America, is evidenced by the formation of new Council Junior Sections in the following cities : Burlington County, New Jersey; Greensboro, North Carolina; Morristown, New Jersey; Phoenix, Arizona; Pittston, Pennsylvania; Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Syracuse, New York; Tyler, Texas; Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and Winnipeg, Canada.
The board of the National Council of Jewish Juniors will meet in Pittsburgh on October 20th to 22nd, according to the National President, Minnie Stein, of Pittsburgh. Preceding the meeting of the Board, the Pennsylvania Junior State Conference will convene in the same city on October 18th.
The National Council of Jewish Juniors now has a membership of approximately 10,000 young men and young women, who take an active part in its program of activities in the interest of Judaism, social welfare, peace and education. Two of its special projects are the Hannah G. Solomon Scholarship Fund at the Training School for Jewish Social Work, and a fund for the maintenance of the Shelter for Jewish Girls in Havana, Cuba.
