Palestine Jewish Workers’ Parley Delegates Sail for Visit to Palestine

Abraham Shiplacoff, chairman; Morris Finestone, vice-chairman and Isaac Hamlin, secretary of the National Labor Committee for the Organized Jewish Workers in Palestine, sailed Saturday on the “Leviathan” for a visit to Palestine. After staying in Palestine a few weeks, they will go to Berlin where they will participate, together with other American delegates, in the first world congress for the Jewish workers of Palestine which will take place on Sept. 20. The other American delegates, Joseph Schlossberg, Chaim Greenberg and Mr. and Mrs. Brown, wil sail from this country about August 15.

A farewell evening in honor of the delegation took place on Thursday evening in Beethoven Hall, Manhattan. I. Segal, general secretary of the Jewish National Workers’ Alliance, was chairman. Among those who spoke were representatives of the United Hebrew Trades, Amalgamated Clothing Workers’ Union, International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union, Poale Zion Party and Zeire Zion.
