Dr. Maurice Hexter, American member of the Palestine Executive of the Jewish Agency and the American member of the triumvirate in charge of the Palestine Emergency Fund, for which $2,000,000 was raised in this country, sailed yesterday for Europe on the S. S. Berengaria to attend the meeting of the council of the Jewish Agency which opens in Berlin August 29. Following this meeting he will return to Palestine.
While in this country Dr. Hexter rendered a report of the work of the Palestine Emergency Fund, the current situation in Palestine and the recent discussion of the political committee of the Jewish Agency recently held in London. His report was given at an informal joint meeting of the American members of the administrative committee and council of the Jewish Agency and of the administrative committee of the Zionist Organization of America.
