Gabriel Davidson, general manager of the Jewish Agricultural Society, has been appointed by Governor Roosevelt to serve on an agricultural advisory committee that is to guide the activities of a newly formed information bureau to serve prospective purchasers of farms in New York State. The bureau has been set up in the New York City office of the state department of agriculture and markets.
Mr. Davidson has been affiliated with the Jewish agricultural movement in the United States for close on to twenty-five years—for over half of that period as the head of the Jewish Agricultural Society, an organization that assisted thousands of Jews the country over to become established on the land in the United States.
Mr. Davidson’s council was sought by the governor’s agricultural committee during its recent investigation of farming conditions in the State.
