The Jewish Consumptive Relief Association, which operates the Los Angeles Sanatorium at Duarte, Calif., and the Ex-Patients’ Tubercular Home at Los Angeles, will open a regional office at Memphis within the next few days. The office will have jurisdiction over eleven Southern States, passing on applications for entry throughout the district, as well as fund raising.

I. E. Bloch, who is in Memphis arranging for the opening, has had a colorful career in many phases of Jewish service. He was a Warrant, 1st Class, in the 38th Battalion, Jewish Legion, which saw active service in the Palestine campaign under Col. Patterson. After the war he served in the Treasury Department in the Palestine Government. In this country Mr. Bloch was the executive director of the United Palestine Appeal in Texas.
