Keith Roach, district commissioner of Jerusalem, today refused to confirm the dismissal of the self-appointed Ashkenazic beadle of the Wailing Wall, Noah Gladstone, whom the Jewish Wailing Wall commission had decided to remove, unless the chief rabbinate adheres to the dismissal. Chief Rabbi Abraham Kook is thus far hesitating to give his approval.
