An echo of the Palestine riots of last August was heard today in Jerusalem when Yakub Said, the Arab who stabbed and fatally injured Abraham Mizrachi, the young Jew, during whose funeral the attacks on the Jews began, was committed to trial on a charge of murder without premeditation.

A day after Tisha B’Ab, 1929, Arabs attacked Jews in Jerusalem near the football field. Among those injured was young Mizrachi, who later died of his stab wounds. During the funeral procession Arabs attacked the Jewish mourners and the riots followed.
