A school for Jewish children subsidized by municipality funds has been authorized by the municipality following prolonged conferences between the Jews and officials of the municipality. Building operations have already begun. Simultaneously the Jews are erecting a large community building to house a real gymnasium (high school), here, funds for which are being supplied by Lithuanian Jews in America.
