The sixth annual convention of the Zionist Order Habonim, fraternal organization of Canada, is being held at the Hotel Vermont here.
Dr. Elias Solomon of Emanuel Synagogue, Mt. Vernon, Meyer Weisgal, editor of the Toronto “Jewish Standard,” and M. H. Lausner of New York will be the speakers today.
Nine Habonim lodges from Eastern and Western Canada will send delegates. Mr. and Mrs. Archibald J. Freiman of Ottawa, will greet the convention in the name of the Zionist Organization of Canada and the Canadian Hadassah respectively, of which they are the presidents.
