Richard E. Gutstadt, executive director of District Grand Lodge No. 4 of the B’nai B’rith and prominent in the San Francisco Jewish community, has accepted appointment to the newly created position of director of the National Bureau of Membership of the B’nai B’rith,. with headquarters in New York.
The selection of Mr. Gutstadt for this: important place is regarded as a reward for his long years of service to the fraternity. He will leave here with his family in October after completing his work as campaign director of the Jewish National Welfare Fund whose drive opens next month.
